I am a fun loving, adventurous, organically grown, photographer based in Honolulu Hawaii. I believe that family and finding connection are some of the most important things in life. The pursuit of capturing those connections is the reason I became a photographer. And what an honor it is to be there for the big moments in people’s lives: engagements, weddings, babies, and beyond. That is how Rachel Robertson Photography came to be. What defines my method (and frankly what sets me apart) is my ability to put people at ease. It's the key to getting natural, radiant photos that you will love. I believe creativity is in endless supply and I am inspired every day by something new; the natural world, my adorable kiddos and my awesome clients, to name a few.

Portrait Sessions are laid back and fun, I want to give you images that feel like YOU.
Your kiddos are your world and we all know that they change in the blink of an eye. Those precious curls, that adorable face, and that funny smile are all things that need to be photographed. They will move on to different expressions and grow into those round cheeks.
Family photography sessions are always a good time and a great way to document this fleeting time in your lives. I am great with kids, and I've had lots of practice chasing my own with a camera. I love bringing out a child's personality, no matter how young or shy they might be.
Because too much posing isn't exactly a child's idea of fun, I take a photojournalistic approach to my family portrait sessions. Expect to have lots of real, candid moments on film with plenty of options for frame-able photographs.
I want your family session to be organic with real smiles and real moments. My goal is to create images that show true emotion and connection. Now, I know what you're thinking, if you have younger kids, “We will have a window of about 3 minutes to get photos of my child smiling and clean.” Rest assured, I have been doing this for a long time and my sessions are fun. I've got a number of tricks up my sleeve that'll make sure your kiddo wants to be there.
All my family sessions are one-of-a-kind because I plan them out carefully with you. I shoot on location anywhere: be it your house, a park, a garden, the beach or anywhere else you have in mind. I'll even help you coordinate clothing to ensure the outfits are a perfect fit for our location and then, should you desire, we can incorporate some props into the mix.
