I can’t say this enough, I have the best clients. I photographed Valerie’s sister’s wedding a few years ago and it made me so happy to be able to work with their family again. The best situation for me as a photographer is when a client just lets me do my thing. They trust that I will take all of the important shots and I can just play around and be creative. This was one of those weddings. Shot at Kualoa Ranch, one of my absolute favorite locations, this wedding was gorgeous. I love when weddings incorporate the cultural heritage of the bride and groom. Carlos wanted to show his Mexican roots with a mariachi band. To surprise their guests, they played the exit song at end of the ceremony, and all throughout the cocktail hour. In Mexican tradition, a hummingbird symbolizes people that have passed. They had a hummingbird ornament on the wedding arch to symbolize the passing of Carlos’s father. The love between Valerie and Carlos was palpable and there wasn't a dry eye when they ready their sweet vows to each other.
